What Does an SAP Tax and Revenue Management Consultant Do?
This role involves designing, configuring, and supporting SAP Tax and Revenue Management (TRM) systems, leading large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations, and ensuring high system performance and compliance. The consultant will also manage data migration, SAP application security, and integration with cutting-edge SAP technologies.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Lead end-to-end SAP implementations, cloud migrations, and S/4HANA conversion projects
- Design SAP system landscapes and define detailed migration and deployment strategies
- Configure SAP TRM solutions in collaboration with key business stakeholders
- Oversee SAP application upgrades, OS/DB migrations, and HANA database transitions
- Manage testing, training, and post-implementation support activities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for SAP product integration (Fiori, BW/4HANA, SAP CPI, Solution Manager, GRC, etc.)
- Ensure application security, system resilience, and compliance with authentication and authorization standards
- Implement and support SAP cloud-based identity and provisioning services
- Adapt to fast-paced environments and contribute to continuous system improvement
What Skills Are Needed for a SAP TRM Role in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP ERP and business solutions
- At least two full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in SAP tax solution domains
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with databases: HANA, Oracle, MS SQL Server, MaxDB, DB2, Sybase ASE
- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP NetWeaver, SAP Solution Manager, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP PI/PO
- Familiarity with SAP GRC, Identity Management, and SAP BTP security services
- Understanding of emerging technologies such as Big Data, Machine Learning, IoT & Edge computing
- Proficiency in shell scripting, SQL, JavaScript, and one or more programming languages (Java, Python)
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
