A government authority in Qatar is hiring a highly experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to lead and secure its critical infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in SSL, F5, SD-WAN, IPSec, and API integration, along with strong collaboration skills with vendors, financial institutions, and government entities.

What Does a Senior Network Security Engineer Do?
* Lead network security design and implementation across cloud and on-premise environments
* Manage SSL certificate lifecycle, including storage, renewals, and compliance
* Collaborate with banks and government agencies to securely integrate APIs and backend systems
* Oversee change request (CR) submissions for General Networking (GN) and project upgrades
* Implement SD-WAN solutions and IPSec redundancy to ensure secure, reliable communication
* Design and optimize security architectures for high throughput and low latency
* Manage cloud routing tables, NSGs, ASGs, ALB, WAFs, DDoS protection, and Sentinel
* Perform regular penetration testing and apply mitigation strategies to prevent vulnerabilities
* Configure and secure F5 LTM, WAF, CDN, and iRules to manage traffic and application delivery
* Document network and security policies, protocols, and infrastructure blueprints for compliance
* Support migration/repatriation of data centers between cloud and on-premise platforms
* Lead failover testing, continuity planning, and mentor junior staff in secure deployment practices
What Skills Are Needed for a Senior Network Security Engineer in Qatar?
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT
* 15–18 years of proven experience in enterprise network and cloud security
* Expertise in F5 (LTM, WAF, iRules), SSL management, and IDS/IPS systems
* Experience working with financial institutions, vendors, and government agencies
* Familiar with API integration, change request systems, and business continuity planning
Certifications & Tools:
* CISSP, CCNP Security, CCIE (preferred)
* Strong understanding of TCP/IP, encryption technologies, SIEM, DLP, PAM, NDR, NGFW
* Hands-on with tools like Azure Sentinel, Defender, Terraform, VPNs, and penetration testing suites
Soft Skills:
