What Does an Audit Manager Do?
As an Audit Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end audit cycle, leveraging industry insights, technical guidance, and team collaboration to deliver assurance engagements with precision. This position involves planning, coordinating with experts and specialists, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Manage full audit cycles from planning through execution and reporting
- Understand client business statistics, risk areas, and prior year documentation
- Coordinate with internal specialists and client management for project deliverables
- Apply auditing tools and professional skepticism to validate assumptions and evidence
- Review audit documentation and ensure proper sign-offs across the team
- Lead the development of audit project plans and monitor deadlines and progress
- Encourage team-wide adoption of questioning mindsets and professional skepticism
- Mentor junior auditors and ensure team readiness through knowledge briefings
- Promote ethical conduct, objectivity, and compliance with independence policies
What Skills Are Needed for an Audit Manager in Dubai?
Education & Certification:
- Degree in Business, Accounting, or related discipline
- CPA, CA, or equivalent international certification
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years in external audit roles
- Proven experience with multinational clients or large systems-based audits
- Strong track record managing real estate sector audit portfolios is a plus
- Experience with engagement management and staff supervision
Skills:
- Deep understanding of international audit and accounting standards
- Effective communication and stakeholder relationship management
- High level of organization, documentation, and attention to detail
- Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage)
