Job Overview
Azizi Developments is seeking a diligent and skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our growing onsite Supervision team based in Dubai. Reporting to the Mechanical Manager, the role involves comprehensive inspection and supervision of mechanical construction activities, ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, engineering standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify that all mechanical construction activities are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and regulatory codes
- Supervise the completion of integrated mechanical site works, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and guidelines are met
- Monitor daily construction activities and report progress, proposing corrective actions when necessary to keep projects on schedule
- Verify contractor organization, construction equipment, and material readiness to ensure smooth execution of works
- Review and approve method statements and ensure compliance with project quality policies, procedures, and standards
- Follow up on piling works, inspection of post-tension suspended slabs, precast walls, and structural steel works
- Ensure that all construction activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental management standards
- Recommend improvements to departmental procedures and contribute to continuous site operational improvements
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Mechanical Manager or Site Management
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s or University Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Diploma holders in a relevant field will also be considered with additional experience
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of construction site experience for BSc Degree holders
- Minimum 10+ years of construction site experience for Diploma holders
- Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques, structural analysis, and mechanical site supervision
- Familiarity with local building codes and standards for mechanical systems
Skills:
- Strong inspection and quality assurance abilities
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Sound knowledge of safety standards and site compliance requirements
- Good communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively with contractors, consultants, and internal teams
