This role reports directly to the Project Controller and Deputy CEO of Manufacturing and will play a critical part in sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating procurement activities across our factories and manufacturing categories.

What Does a Procurement Coordinator in Manufacturing Do?
As a Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing multiple procurement portfolios, specifically within the manufacturing domain. This includes securing materials, equipment, and services for shipbuilding, rigs, conversions, and factory-based operations. You will ensure project efficiency by coordinating purchases aligned with project schedules and budgets.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Execute end-to-end procurement activities related to manufacturing, conversions, and factory-based projects
- Source, evaluate, and select vendors for high-quality, cost-effective materials and services
- Work with the Project Controller and Deputy CEO to manage purchase orders, vendor negotiations, and contract terms
- Monitor procurement progress, ensuring timely deliveries aligned with project milestones
- Track procurement budgets, forecasts, and cost optimizations
- Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and project teams to understand technical requirements
- Manage multiple sourcing portfolios simultaneously, including shipbuilding and heavy manufacturing categories
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation, supplier records, and compliance protocols
What Skills Are Needed for a Procurement Coordinator in Dubai?
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Prior involvement in shipbuilding, rigs, factory operations, or large industrial projects is a strong advantage
Technical & Functional Expertise:
- Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract negotiations, and vendor performance management
- Strong analytical and project coordination skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
