Record to Report Senior Accountant – General Ledger & Financial Reporting
Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions is seeking a skilled Record to Report Senior Accountant to join the Finance Shared Services Centre in Cairo, Egypt. This role is key to managing General Ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, and audit coordination for business entities within Majid Al Futtaim Ventures.

What Does a Record to Report Senior Accountant Do?
The Senior Accountant ensures the timely and accurate recording of ledger entries, manages accruals and intercompany balances, and supports month-end closings. The role also facilitates audit processes and prepares comprehensive financial reporting packages in compliance with internal policies.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Prepare financial statement requirements and submit to finance leadership for review
- Post and validate journal entries during the accounting period
- Perform monthly accrual calculations with supporting documentation
- Reconcile and manage intercompany accounts accurately and on schedule
- Coordinate submission of standalone financial statements to external auditors
- Manage the audit process and ensure timely clearance of audit queries
- Prepare internal sign-off packages for financial statements
- Oversee daily accounting operations and GL accuracy for assigned business units
What Skills Are Needed for a Senior Accounting Role in Cairo?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in finance, accounting, or audit roles
- Big 4 audit firm experience is preferred
Skills:
- Strong understanding of general ledger processes and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines in a shared service setup
