Key Responsibilities
Safety First
- Lead and maintain exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and compliance standards across design resources
- Ensure adherence to local health and safety regulations relevant to the project portfolio
- Foster a diverse and inclusive environment while prioritizing the wellbeing of the team
Client Focus
- Act as the operational manager for design managers and design management resources across projects
- Lead the delivery of design management, achieving key strategic outcomes and influencing sub-function KPIs
- Serve as the primary contact for client design issues, maintaining strong client relationships
Integrity
- Implement and execute design management systems, processes, and protocols to comply with statutory, legal, and contractual requirements
- Support the long-term strategic development of the business unit, ensuring sustainability
- Hold team members accountable to Mace’s values, promoting positive impact on clients, people, and the planet
Create Opportunity
- Mentor, coach, and develop the project team, fostering a knowledge-sharing environment
- Innovate and leverage best practices through networking and collaboration within Mace’s centres of excellence and knowledge hubs

Required Qualifications
- Relevant degree qualification
- Experience in masterplanning and digital processes
- Experience working in the United Arab Emirates (essential for client approval)
Preferred Skills
- Membership in professional bodies such as RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS, or CIAT
- Extensive experience in delivering projects during the execution phase
- Expertise in construction consultancy and project management
- Strong knowledge of building safety legislation, construction contracts, professional appointments, and health and safety regulations
- Proven leadership experience managing large, diverse teams
- Ability to manage relationships with key senior stakeholders
- Understanding of carbon reduction and sustainability in project delivery
