Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Buying Manager to set yearly buying budgets and develop merchandise strategies that align with the company\'s financial objectives.
- Manage a portfolio of 100+ international and local vendors, negotiating cost-effective pricing and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Execute buying strategies that maximize sales and profitability while ensuring in-stock positioning for key merchandise categories.
- Research new trends and advancements in product lines to make informed buying decisions that cater to customer preferences.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Store Operations, and Logistics, to ensure cohesive product promotion and inventory management.
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to optimize assortment planning and pricing strategies.
- Manage inventory distribution for assigned categories to ensure the right products are available at the right time.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the buying team to foster a high-performance culture.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of merchandising experience, preferably in the retail industry.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business Management, Buying, or a related field.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in SAP and familiarity with local market trends are preferred.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
