This role supports RTA’s strategic sourcing initiatives and enhances operational efficiency through structured supplier and contract management.

Job Overview

The Procurement and Contracts Specialist – Supplier Management will be responsible for developing and managing the supplier database, overseeing tendering and negotiation processes, drafting purchase orders and contracts, and ensuring systematic procurement operations. This role is critical for maintaining transparent, fair, and efficient procurement practices within RTA.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and manage the suppliers’ database, ensuring up-to-date and accurate records of strategic suppliers
- Administer tenders, negotiations, and bidding processes to ensure fair competition and optimal value
- Draft and issue purchase orders, prepare supplier agreements, and manage contract documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers to clarify purchase order details, address inquiries, and support payment processes
- Manage systematic requisitions to ensure all prerequisites for product and service demands are met
- Follow up on pending orders with end-users to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment
- Process RFQs through the marketplace to encourage fair competition and obtain the best offers
- Raise release orders against blanket agreements where applicable
- Order materials and services according to scheduled demand, ensuring service continuity
- Prepare and submit regular procurement and contract management reports to senior leadership
- Perform other related duties and administrative support tasks as assigned by the direct manager

Required Skills and Experience

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Business Administration, Public Relations, or Law from an accredited university

Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in Contracts Management and Procurement

Skills:
- Highly analytical thinker with strong ability to streamline and improve complex work processes
- Innovative problem-solver capable of generating workable solutions and resolving complaints
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management abilities
- High computer literacy with extensive proficiency in procurement and office applications
