What Does a Consultant – Audit & Assurance Do?
As a Consultant in Audit & Assurance, you play a crucial role in examining financial statements under HGB, IFRS, or US GAAP. You will work across a wide range of companies, from mid-sized enterprises to DAX 40 listed firms, developing deep business insights and using cutting-edge digital audit tools.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Participate in audits of annual and consolidated financial statements under German and international standards
- Gain an in-depth understanding of client business processes and internal controls through a risk-based audit approach
- Assist clients with the implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Apply digital audit tools and participate in Future Audit transformation projects
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Tax, Legal, Consulting, and Corporate Finance
What Skills Are Required for an Audit Consultant in Hamburg?
Education:
- Degree in business, economics, mathematics, informatics, or related field, ideally with a focus on accounting, auditing, tax, or controlling
Experience:
- Initial hands-on experience through internships or vocational training in finance or accounting
- Strong knowledge of national or international accounting principles
Skills:
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken)
