What Does an Order to Cash Associate Accountant Do?
The Associate Accountant handles day-to-day accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, reconciliation, payment tracking, and query resolution. The role ensures the accurate processing of receivables and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Support the end-to-end receivables process, ensuring timely and accurate invoice generation and posting
- Process accounts receivable transactions and maintain customer records in line with policy
- Review and validate submitted payment requests to ensure compliance with internal procedures
- Conduct reconciliation of assigned customer accounts and follow up on overdue balances
- Monitor aging reports and address outstanding receivables proactively
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and support clean month-end closures
- Assist with customer query handling and escalate complex issues as needed
- Support general ledger activities related to receivables and revenue recognition
What Skills Are Needed for This Accounts Receivable Role in Cairo?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory)
Experience:
- At least 6 months of experience in finance, preferably within accounts receivable functions
Skills:
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities with high attention to detail
- Customer service orientation and strong interpersonal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
- Familiarity with ERP systems or accounting platforms is a plus
