Source to Pay Associate Accountant – Accounts Payable & Vendor Reconciliation
Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions is seeking a Source to Pay Associate Accountant to join its Finance team in Cairo, Egypt. This role is dedicated to processing accounts payable transactions, reviewing vendor payments, supporting ledger accuracy, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.

What Does a Source to Pay Associate Accountant Do?
The Associate Accountant plays a vital role in managing vendor accounts, processing invoices, verifying payments, and reconciling accounts. This position supports day-to-day accounts payable operations and ensures compliance with internal financial controls and service level agreements.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Process and validate invoice bookings and payments, including GRN and supplier transactions
- Maintain up-to-date vendor accounts, ensure policy compliance, and resolve account discrepancies
- Review staff travel and expense (T&E) reimbursement claims for accuracy and policy alignment
- Perform reconciliations of assigned vendor accounts and follow up on any discrepancies
- Monitor and report on aged payables, identifying and addressing any overdue items
- Support the closure of payable transactions aligned with financial reporting deadlines
- Respond to vendor queries and complaints, escalating issues when necessary per SLA terms
- Collaborate with the Process to Pay Manager to maintain timely and accurate accounting records
What Skills Are Needed for an Accounts Payable Role in Cairo?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience in accounts payable or finance operations
Skills:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
- Customer service orientation and ability to communicate professionally with vendors
- Advanced Excel and familiarity with MS Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
- Understanding of general ledger support and financial compliance principles
