Statutory to Tax Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & Compliance
Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions is looking for a Statutory to Tax Senior Accountant to join its Finance team in Cairo, Egypt. This role plays a vital part in the preparation of statutory financial statements and tax reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

What Does a Statutory to Tax Senior Accountant Do?
The Senior Accountant ensures the accurate preparation of financial statements and tax-related filings in line with international and local standards. This includes coordinating audits, validating financial data, and working with tax and legal departments to maintain full compliance and transparency.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Assist in preparing statutory financial statements and tax documentation for various countries
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect financial data and supporting documents
- Validate financial records for compliance with IFRS and local statutory/tax rules
- Conduct variance analysis and identify significant deviations or inconsistencies
- Support external audits with high-quality schedules and accurate information
- Resolve audit queries and maintain communication with audit teams
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Partner with cross-functional teams in finance, tax, and legal to meet reporting deadlines
What Skills Are Needed for This Senior Accounting Role in Cairo?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional qualifications such as DipIFRS or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- 3 to 6 years of experience in external audit, ideally with a Big 4 firm
- Proven experience managing external audits and supporting remote audit cycles
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and regional accounting standards
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
